Disabilities are not a death sentence! When I first became disabled, I didn't want to get out of bed. I surely thought I was gonna fail as a parent and as a individual because I wasn't able to work anymore. A friend of mine later told me it was a choice. A choice to live and see your grandchildren grow or just lay down a die and not enjoy your grandchildren and other things life has to offer. I chose to LIVE, and to this day the Doctors aren't sure whats wrong, they just labeled it one thing and I was able to get disability. Even though you are on disability doesn't mean you can't still self-preserve your humbility, pride and self-esteem.
