I am a teaching assistant in a elementary school, and a former high school teacher of English, psychology, and sociology. I also work as direct support staff for adults with developmental disabilities. I'm a proud mother of three and grandmopther of three. I lead a calm and quiet life.
I have arthritis in my knees and ankles, which some times makes walking quite uncomfortable. I avoid stairs when possible. It's awkward to get up from sitting. But I just spent a week sleeping on the ground in a tent on the Oregon coast and walking a lot on beaches and coastal hiking trails, in spite of the pain.
