Seeking new friends & also a special someone. I'm looking for new friendships and am also ready for a new long term relationship. I have a lot of love to give but don't have many significant friends or others to share it with at the moment. Most of my close friends have moved out of state in the last 10 years. I was engaged for 5 years but never got married. I then was in a relationship for 9 years but my health problems kept me from being active enough to go out 4 to 5 times a week which my partner needed for the social support. So we decided to just be good friends. That was 3 years ago and I have taken some time to focus on my own independence and what I am capable of without a partner to support me. Now that I have a better idea of what I am capable of giving to someone else; I am looking to share my life with someone else. I miss having the companionship and friendship that comes with a long term relationship. I like to do little things to make other people smile. I often find joy myself in the little things. I love to laugh and have been told I have a great sense of humor.
I have a cat who is my constant companion. Due to fatigue related to my fibromyalgia I spend a lot of time at home and my cat keeps me from being lonely.
My great passion in life is biology which is the field I intended to work in. But I still enjoy attending lectures and reading about it. My friends and I get together to play European style board games. If you're interested in how they differ from American board games,just ask me, I'll be happy to explain. I also can be found every week at the local farmer's market since I am passionate about supporting local businesses & encouraging pesticide free farming for environmental reasons. I also enjoy cooking with all the wonderful foods I find at the farmer's market. I enjoy drawing, watercolor painting, and playing guitar. These are my creative outlets but I do them for myself.
