Open and honest guy A great writer once said, "The best scientist is open to experience, and begins with romance—the idea that anything is possible." I think this pretty much sums up my approach to building relationships that last. My family and friends are really important to me, and there's not much that can top quality time spent with the people I care about, whether we're enjoying the outdoors together or sharing a good meal at home.

I'm what some might consider a slow burn: I take my time to warm up and reveal more of my personality, and once I do, I'm in for the duration. Friends say I'm funny, positive, loyal, generous, and a bit on the quiet side. I think that's accurate, and the woman who values these qualities will also appreciate the fact that I'm not looking for someone exactly like me; I want a woman whose traits compliment mine. I'm a good listener, I'm patient, and having these characteristics in common is key.

I'm not convinced there's an actual 'science' to successful dating, but I do believe there's a lot to be said for great chemistry.
