Horses have always been a great love of mine, but they have also resulted in a disabling elbow fracture as a young child, and a crushed vertebrae as a young adult. It's now been about 20 years since I've ridden. And although I didn't let chronic back pain hold me down for the first 20 after a Thoroughbred flipped over on me, once rheumatoid arthritis caused weakening and joint destruction in my fingers, along with the pain in my hands and shoulders, riding my perpetually paranoid American Saddlebred eventually became impossible. So I had to let him go. I don't get out a lot these days, as I also haven't been able to drive for several years. But I'm still in pretty good shape, and have retained more strength than many, I'd say. And I've always been told that I'm attractive. I also have a quick and active mind, and love to learn, continuously. I've always been scientifically minded, I love to write, and used to draw, although not in more recent years. I love all animals with a high passion. But what probably defines me most is my spirituality. I am Christian, first and foremost. But not in an orthodox way, I guess I'd say. I don't currently attend church, but am considering... I believe that God is in every living thing and in all parts of creation; that we are all One in Spirit. I also believe that our greatest human potential next to our communion with God is in deep connection with another, on all levels. I am also a student of the Native American culture and customs. I very much enjoy and benefit from ceremony when the opportunity arises, sometimes of my own creation, and have had the incredible honor of participating in an authenic sweatlodge which I hope to experience again. I am a humanitarian, I love my fellow humans, and I always look for the best in people unless they prove me wrong! I am open-minded and have a ready sense of humor, but can be stubborn or more when I feel it's warranted. I am currently married but estranged, looking for conversation or ??
