I am a disabled veteran of the Vietnam era. I am medically retired. I am a very open minded , honest, decent woman . I have spent the last 40 years ish, doing volunteer work on human rights issues. I'm politically left, & still as active as I am able to be, in advancing the rights of women & minorities, & also environmental causes.
For fun, I like everything in the arts. Galleries, some music in every genre, comedy clubs & shows, movies, photography, plays, books, museums, in short, if it's creative, I like to check it out.
I love my dog, a little bichon mix, & spending time with my niece, her husband, & son. I have lived in & traveled to many different states & overseas, & would love to do more.
I love & connect deeply to the ocean, Gulfs, lakes, rivers, bayous, & coulees of this world. I'm of Irish/Cajun descent, thus the references to bayous & coulees. I love other cultures. I still believe strongly in making a difference in the world, in whatever way I am able. I enjoy writing, sewing, cooking, reading, & laughter most of all. I'm told I'm honest & loyal to a fault. I'm not looking for my doppleganger, but unless we share core values, I guarantee it won't work. So, compassion, integrity, kindness are a must. I'm a very Spiritual person, but not locked into one religion. I joined a dating site for the first time 3 months ago, then had to have surgery, & could not do any more than message. I've recovered & a guy was really interested, until he found out I was disabled, so a friend suggested I try this one. I plan to remain in NH, but have only been here in NH a short time, so if my true love isn't on this site, I'm also up for dating & making new friends as well. I am a PDA touchy feely hugger type. Flaws? I hold strong opinions, & sometimes need to be reminded I have been overbearing. I'll answer honestly any other questions you might have, if my profile interests you.
