I have a dry sense of humour, love to laugh and tend to be a bit cerebral (am most comfortable living inside my head, if that makes any sense).
I moved back to Winnipeg a few years ago and most of my old and new friends are married with children, without (understandably) much time for the theatre, fringe and jazz fests, etc. So I ended up seeing a number of fringe plays on my own this past summer. I'm pretty independent and going solo to a few shows would have been fine, but the experience highlighted that there is something missing in my life.
It would be nice to have a connection with someone who shares my interests and is up for adventures close to and far from home.
I'm uncomfortable with mainstream dating sites because of the premium placed on physical appearance. It will be interesting to see if this site is any different.
I'm 45 years old, so if you're a mature 35, young 55 or anything in between, open-minded, non-judgemental, love to read, have a passion for music (ideally jazz and/or the blues), love dogs and are a bit of a foodie, let me know if you'd like to chat online. Almost all of that is negotiable, except for being a dog lover -- that's a clincher
