Perhaps most importantly, I am in a monogamous marriage that is probably?!? ending due to my spouse's limitations in terms of accepting my disability. I have my permission to connect with others whilst working on that situation, but no attachments shall ensue at this point. I give you permission to peace out knowing that about me, for sure! My deep dive into life-altering secondary dysautonomia (caused by unknown auto-immune neurologial disorder) just began in 2025. Fortunately, I've had enough life experience and training in public health to know that having disabilities is ultimately synonymous with being human. Being still almost all the time was hard for me at first, but now I am so grateful for the gift of time that it has given me. With lots of work - and the privilege of having stable housing, FMLA and private disability insurance - my mental health has only gotten better as my physical health has declined. Would love to connect with others in this same space. I think you gotta understand the implications of the particular version of the white supremacist patriarchy that we live in here in the United States in order for us to get along. Do you get why my rejection of white supremacist patriarchal values does NOT translate to me disliking white men? Other interests? No idea in this new reality of mine. But I know I am grateful for good audio like audio books, music, social justice stand-up comedy, and Broad City. I am also grateful for all my loved ones who visit me, including humans, flowers, squirrels, birds, and insects that visit my yard to say hello.
