Enjoying working & handling my diabetes challenges lI am always searching for answers for minimizing occational downtimes with my diabetes as I won't let it define me. I am a brunette with brown eyes, small build but look good in my jeans, still...just put down my schnauzer of 16 yrs, it took alot of courage. I have been told that I am "strong" and cope well. Have a kind of "dry" sense of humor and love to laugh and stay positive. Love to be among nature, plants, and especially the coasts. Was told once I could have been a model. I am blessed with reasonably good health and have only had diabetes for 22 yrs with no complications. Enjoy all types of music (I live in Music City (Nashville) I enjoy being outdoors and used to be rather athletic and visited the "Y" regularly. I am divorced after a long marriage and that was difficult. I am mostly not in the bars and clubs scene, although I love to hear a good band and concerts. Like football. Enjoy being competitve (cards,& scrabble) guess I am very "girly" conscientious about looking my personal best and always trying to stay on top of housework. I am sort of "artsy" love to go to "Art.com" and surf. Curious about archeoloy and medical advances, autobiographical books, love horses and dogs. kayaking, snorkling.My ex seemed to not accept the diabetes well and especially my insulin pump.Have had trouble getting back to Sunday organized religion since my divorce but it is on my bucket list.Like the wind in my hair, always enjoyed fast cars and riding an occational Harley. I would like beingaround someone that knows the challengesof diabete control and eating right and the highs and lows and frustrations it brings. It would be neat to have that in common and not giving up
the 'fight' Facing retirement is lurking around the corner.....hopefully I will be more physical! Was told recently by a guy that I was the best looking girl in the senior class. lmbo Ha found out he had said the same thing to another alumni, ha.I am just me, maybe a little above aver
