Hi All. I lost my lower right leg in April 2024. Technically, a very good thing. I had chronic pain for years in my right ankle and surrounding area. I owned and ran my residential construction company since March 1996. I closed it 2 years ago because of pain. I opened a new construction with my oldest son on January of this year. We both knew that it would be difficult-learning and accepting my limitations. We're adapting. All is good. My goal was to do a triathlon this summer with some of my kids. The reality is that the goal has shifted a year. Still having the ups and downs with figuring out my leg. At the moment, I still use 1 crutch a majority of the time. My wish is to return to an active lifestyle. My honesty- having a prosthetic for a leg is a good thing. I am a positive person a majority of the time. I certainly have my less than great moments. I've been in residential construction my entire adult life. My passion is woodworking. I enjoy all pets. Prefer larger dogs. We once built a smaller beautiful barn for a customer that rescued horses. Was an amazing experience being around the animals. I feel my passions could also include livestock. Lots of work, but very rewarding.
