Almostnormal, 44

Girl with too big a heart who just won't stay dead I am newish to this whole disabled thing. I caught a virus in college that damaged my heart and didn't figure it out till I died Only out for 17 minutes and I don't recall a thing. I have congestive heart failure from the virus and an anoxic brain injury from lack of oxygen when I died. The brain injury isn't an issue as it has been six years. I also have a touch of PTSD from when my ICD malfunctioned and shocked me 30 times in less than an hour. I am mostly fine, just unexplained beeping kind of puts me on edge. I also had a small stroke but the only lasting effects are an arm that feels like it is immersed in a bucked of ice water. I sleep a lot but that is probably because I am an extrovert living with my introverted mother. We bought a house together so I could do things for her that she couldn't do and she could have me close to avoid worrying about me and making herself sick. I was a psychology/art(ceramics) major minoring in creative writing and also did a lot of volunteer work. I was going to go on and get a masters in Art Therapy, but that didn't happen. I have a wide variety of interests. I love to read. Mostly fiction and mostly mystery or science fiction. I was a first aid/cpr instructor when I bit it. Oh the irony Not sure what I am really expecting from this site. My best friend recommended it and I thought I would give it a try. I am pretty easy going and I think I am easy to get along with. I am a Christian, a Quaker to be specific. Honesty is very important to me. I have dumped all my past boyfriends for either lying or cheating. I am pretty easy going about everything else that I have come across but I have not experienced everything. Not sure what else to say so just ask
