I just so happen to be a fairly attractive man who has been disabled for almost 13 years. My disability is the end result of a young boy's careless action of running a stop sign at a high rate of speed. I suffered a badly broken neck and internal injuries. I was lucky enough to have had rehabilitation at Shepard Spinal Center in Atlanta. Within a week of being released from the rehabilitation center I was living in my own home trying to be as independent as possible.
It has been almost 13 years since that dreadful day and I am still living independently. I have an attendent that comes in for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. I have very little time because my classes take up the majority of time with my help. That makes it very difficult to meet people and make new friends. I must be honest, my interest in computers and the internet is very much lacking.
I am currently attending a 2 year college trying to graduate with an associate in arts degree. Then, my goal is to attend a 4 year university. I hope to eventually return to work.
Some of the things I enjoy are playing pool, fishing, watching movies, card/board games, long rolls with my dogs, and shopping (when money is available).
My reason for joining disabled passions is the hope of finding someone who can help me feel like a human being once again.
