I was born with very mild form Cerebral Palsy, due to premature birth. My CP only affects my gait, giving me a distinct walk and slight limp. My friends affectionately refer to it as my "gangsta lean". I was in a long-term relationship, with a college sweetheart, until one day, she informed me that she no longer wanted to be married and was seeing someone else. After my divorce, I joined several on-line dating sites.I had some good dates and some not so good dates, but have not found anything lasting. I have also discovered that there are still a lot of shallow people, in this world. It is the unfortunate truth. I am always up-front and honest about my CP, because it is part of my identity. I am not ashamed of it, because it has formed the compassionate, caring person I am today. I will talk to women for weeks or months, before we meet, and they say they have absolutely no issue with my walk, but when we meet, they will say they "didn't feel a connection" or were not "physically attracted". One woman said, "you have a great smile and beautiful eyes, but I felt like people may be looking at us, because of the way you walk." I've grown tired of the same excuses, so I've decided to look for someone who has faced similar challenges and is proud of who they are.
Cerebral Palsy has not stopped me from doing anything that I want to do. I am huge sports fan. I played football, basketball, and baseball in high school, and have coached basketball at the high school, college, and professional levels. I love to dance, hike, swim, attend sporting events, concerts, movies...any activity in good company
I have a good job, college education, and a nice place. I love kids and definitely hope to be a father, someday. Helping others is my greatest passion. I have spoken to to groups of all ages about overcoming obstacles and pursuing your dreams. I have great life, that is enriched with great friends and family. All I seek is someone to share my life with
