Hello and thanks for checking out my profile. My name is Chris and I'm a 43 year old disabled male who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is ventilator dependent. My disability does NOT define who I am. However, it's a part of me and not something I can get away from. The only reason I even mentioned my disability is because honesty is very important to me and I don't believe in deceiving or misleading anyone. If you are someone who for whatever reason cannot see past my disability, please move on because I'm not the person for you.

I'm a friendly down to earth guy with a great sense of humor albeit a bit twisted at times. I don't take life too seriously all of the time or I'd probably be locked up in an insane asylum. I CAN and DO laugh at myself quiet often. However, this doesn't mean I don't know when to be serious. I tend to be a little shy to some degree when first meeting someone in person or talking to them on the phone for the first time, but once I get to know a person, I warm right up. I've been described by friends as strong, kind, compassionate, gifted, inspirational, affectionate and funny. I believe in honesty, and sincerity in any type of relationship. I don't play head games with others, and I expect the same from any potential friends/matches.

I'm here in hopes of finding someone to have a long term relationship with, but making friends is also important to me and I'm hoping to make some that share similar interests as myself, but I'm not looking for the female version of myself. I believe that a casual stress free friendship without expectations is the best way to get to know someone. I do hope to find that someone special at some point, but it's not my primary goal for being here. People need to be friends first before they know if there will be more.
