About me where do i start, im a 24 year old male from manhattan kansas, in aug, 2009 a friend and i had been drinking and decided to walk back to our hotel for the night, along the way i was struck by an suv on the side of the road that was estimated to be going around 45 mph. i dont remember any of that day and very little of the next few months to come i do however vaguely remember waking up and being told i would no longer be able to walk, i later found out i have suffered the exact same injury as christopher reeves and was told if by some small miracle i survived i would have a very low quality of life and be in a sip n puff chair at best, i since was in a rehabilitation clinic for about four months where i was able to learn ''with help'' to walk very small distances and even breate on my own. but since ive returned home im left with a very empty feeling, i used to be a very upbeat and vibrant person who for the most part enjoyed life now im stuck trying to adjust to this new lifestyle the best i can and am taking things one day at a time for now
