I have had a general interest in amputees since my high school girl friend had to have a leg amputated at the hip. This lead to my interest in becoming an orthopedic surgeon. I completed my medical school studies and had nearly finished my surgical residency when I suffered an elbow injury in a wreck. Although I recovered from this injury, I was left with a slight tremor in the middle finger of my right hand, which abolished any thoughts of working as a surgeon. I them became a teaching resident at a large midwestern medical school until I retire in 2003. I still have the interst in amputees, preferably female, and enjoy hearing of their successes and difficulties in living as an amputee. I am happily married (to a leg amputee, who fully understands my intersts), thoughly trustworthy, and have absolutley no desire to personally meet any new amputees. I cherish my privacy
