Paralyzed quadriplegic I am not looking for someone to take care of me I already have nurses for that. I am looking for someone to love and to be loved for who I am. please do not hesitate to ask me anything I have heard it all I am a open book. I am Ben i am 27 I was a construction worker and firemen. On June fifth 2,005. I was on a boat having fun I jumped into the water and was instantly paralyze I lost the use of my arms and legs. I am very strong willed and I have good opportunities in the future. And I still go out to do stuff I love to have fun. I also work with young kids with the big brother program still. I try to find people that have been paralyzed in the hospitals I was in and see if I can help them emotionally and mentally with dealing with paralysis. I have an associate degree in fire science I would like to go back and achieve another degree either an associate degree or bachelor's degree maybe even a master's degree I am not sure which one or what for yet. I love the outdoors and I still lead a pretty active lifestyle I do not like to lie around and being a waste. I really like art specially drawing and painting since I can no longer use my arms I am getting into drying with my mouth either pencil or paint brush. Well people ask me how I deal with being paralyzed I tell them I don't have a choice basically either I give up and shrivel up and die or I suck It up and deal with it. I have a good outlook on life I try not to let anything hold me back I don't like people feeling sorry for me I did this to myself yes. but that will not stop me from accomplishing anything in life it is just a minor setback for me. I understand that getting involved with someone in my situation can be a lot to handle especially if you make it but before you make that decision get to know me first before you write me off or move on.
