Microsoft's Speech Recognition vs. Dragon Naturally Speaking

I don't imagine that anyone will actually respond to this, since this forum appears to be a place where questions go to die, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Has anyone here used both of the aforementioned programs? If so, in your opinion, which is better?

`As a computer geek, with experience of both programs and the world of computers i would say neither are great for speech recognition, Their are much better Speech recognition programs available on the commercial market the problem is to get a decent one you would have to spend at least £1500 the best one is the medical edition of Via Voice priced at £7299 going beyond the commercial market is the private sector and their you will get voice recognition software that will not just recognize your words but also the tone of your voice and the context of your words as well as be able to judge what you mean when you say something like "be back in a bit" and differentiate the meaning of that phrase to this one "be back later" unfortunately programs like these often require a business license to buy so you can access the private sector and start at £ 12349.

However if you simple want to send system commands to the computer then you can use Dragon naturally speaking, the disadvantage with this is you have to train it to recognize your voice unless you buy the most expensive version which will train itself to recognize your voice just by asking you to read once sentence (The Quick Brown Fox Jumped over The Lazy Yellow Dog), it uses every letter in the alphabet, and the program trains itself using the recording of your voice It will also integrate in to Microsoft office, and you can speak to type as well as many other things that Microsoft voice recognition is just not designed to do. plus MVR takes a long time to set up and a lot of computer know how. so its really up to you.

`I know that I am a year late responding to this, but honestly, I never knew that anyone had commented. Thanks so much for the informative answer. Since I posted this, I've had the opportunity to use both programs (Dragon Naturallyspeaking and Windows Speech Recognition), and subsequently wrote an article about their successes and failures. I believe I may have posted that article here… Not sure.
