Hi all,
Just wondering............ Disabled persons seems lonely and love is sometimes elusive not because of who we are but how we found ourselves!
What is your story?

`Usually the disabled are lonely. It is much harder to find someone when you are unable to be a part of the 'healthy' community. We are both discriminated against by the healthy and also by ourselves, in that we do not feel worthy. Most of us realise we aren't the same and our circle of friends often only includes family and other disabled. From such a small group it is often hard to find someone we like and there is also the situation of us not being able to cope with both our own problems and those of the people we do like. It is difficult to see how this will change until society decides to include us.

`Thanks Topkitten. So true..........it is worse in my culture but I have refused to be a victim of the society's ignorance and prejudice. I believe I am not the victim. I must live a full life despite disability.......it is certainly not inability.

`I think there is true love for people with disabilities...I mean God doesn't want ANYONE to be alone, yea it may take some time to find that people, but I believe one day we will, but also the world is sooo ---- up on looks that it's makes it twice as hard to find a person to love themselves much less other people that are not "perfect" I personality don't wanna be bothered with anyone that is gonna judge me based on what I look like . Just keep moving. God bless and be happy with yourself.
