This site may be free, but this is driving me crazy. I have tried the chat feature over a dozen times, and to date, I can't even tell if the thing works. Nothing happens. I've looked it over carefully, and if I'm doing something wrong, I don't see it. Now, I try to send an e-mail message, and it's telling me that I must be subscribed for more than a day to use this feature. This is my third day on here, and I had previously sent e-mail. What's up with that?
I have not had or seen any personal contact with anyone, except that I see one of ten e-mails was "read" by another user. That's it. I tried to post a YouTube video, that happens to be mine, and it doesn't show up. This site is beyond strange, it's bizarre!
If you're out there... Anyone.... Anyone at all... Male, Female, Old or Young, I just would like to make contact. I feel like I'm the only person on the entire site.

Your account was created on 10/19/10 (yesterday)...and not 3 days ago like you said.
You can see this for yourself by looking at the little 'Joined' date under your photo here in the forum area.
It takes a full 24 hours from the midnight following your registration before you will have access to the chat system and the email system (if you are logging in from an area where our system has seen high levels of spam).
Basically, it sounds like you are being a little impatient.
There are a lot of different areas within the network that can keep you busy until you have full access, so we recommend you focus on exploring a little.

`Well Sir, I stand corrected. You're right, while I did sign up on Monday the 18th, it wasn't until yesterday, that I received my welcome letter. I guess I was thrown off by the fact that I was able to send out a total of ten e-mail messages, until reaching my limit, as of last night, but got the 24 hour wait notice beginning today. Can you tell me, would the 24 Hour rule also apply to the posting of a video? If so, that would explain why it hasn't processed.
It is nice to have at least made contact with someone. Generally speaking, an introductory post in a Web site's Forum nets at least a few welcome replies, by other members. However, as you say, perhaps I am being a tad impetuous.

Videos should appear within your account immediately, but it appears there is a glitch.
We were working in the profile area last week (when we updated the 'Favorite Books' section, so that book images and links now appear on profile pages and in the Disabled Passions Library).
It looks like our update caused a problem with the video section.
We'll have tech. support look into this, and it should be fixed by tomorrow evening at the latest.

PS. The new library is growing quickly, and we'd like to ask members to add any books they think might be of interest to others on the site. (This can be done by clicking the Favorite Books link in the My Account area.)
