I am trying to get my best friend to become a caregiver for me in my own home. we've spent 6 month doing everything they've asked and waited and waited. Only to find out this week that they would only allow me 26 hours a month of care.
Is there anyone for me to fight this and get more?!?!?!?

`Hi. Are you eligible for IHSS (in-home supportive services)? If so, ask for a review. A representative will come in and ask you how much help you need personally. And how much time in minutes it takes to do certain things. I suggest for you to exaggerate. Say, if it takes 40 minutes to shower, tell her it takes 70 minutes.
