Finding someone to talk

Sometimes it is just finding someone to talk...just the initial contact. I think email and internet has allowed people to ignore the common every day insecurities, and yet, as a negative side affect, has started to disallow real, face to face skills. We are distancing ourselves from each other by use of the internet to communicate. It would be so much better to utilize the internet for finding a person who might want to date, be friends, etc and meet, face to face and learn how to discriminate likes and dislikes face to face, than live in cyberspace, without really knowing somone.
