cc What the heck is that little c for over to the left of the beginning word what? In order to avoid confusion, getting posts lost, whatever, I'll just post this as is. Using my id here for keywords and title. Too many words, to much navigation. This is kind of silly. I post in a blog, then post in a forum. If you don't know that forum, or have a way to get notified, or even noticed, like if someone replies to either post, blog, or even email, you don't know. I know who I am, but what am I besides alone in this world? What am I? I wonder everyday. Am I so unusual in this life? Am I really that unique; really? Seriously? I feel all the time that if being this unusual means that I have to be so alone, then I don't want to be here at all. Because what's the point? If it were in my power to be a regular person, I would change in an instant. But thats impossible. Or is it? I only have what was given to me at birth, and what I have learned up to this point... I first heard of devotees a few years ago. They seemed like an invention to give hope to poor disabled girls, a fantasy to avoid the numbing suspicion that no-one is ever going to find a disabled girl attractive. I'd never met one before joining this site (still haven't), but I've exchanged a couple of e-mails with someone who admits to being a devotee. I suppose the simplistic view is that it's no different than finding blondes more attractive than brunettes. It seems to me that we all find individuals... 3 comments

You'd think that in a high-stakes, highly-competitve, high-tech industry, if there was a saying on failure it would be "don't." And yet, in all the years I've spent leading up to and entering gaming tech, it has been quite the opposite. There are quite a few attitudes from academics and work that I can't help but bring with me to dating, so while they're on my mind, I figure I should be out with them and see if anyone bites. I implore anyone reading this to do what they can to help the Haitian people in the aftermath of what can only be described as an apocalyptic event. Its not unusual for me to struggle with expenses, but even I managed to squeeze a very small amount out of my pitiable stipend for a donation to Doctors Without Borders. As a disabled person, I know what its like to be a second class citizen, and that's just the status the people of Haiti have been relegated to in a hemisphere so plagued by imperial... 3 comments

If you live in a rural area serviced by the telcom company formerly known as Embarq, good luck. Apparently, its just not profitable enough for this company to maintain its infrastructure in an area of limited revenue. This has been going on for years. I am the partially disabled caretaker of an elderly parent. I think we are the poster children for those most in need of 911 emergency service, and phone service in general. But, where unrestrained capitalism is involved, never count on cooler, logical... No comments
